What have we been up to?

In March we learned how Jesus Cares For Us. We learned of all the different people Jesus healed like the 10 lepers and the blind man and now in APRIL we are starting to lean how Jesus wants to be my friend forever! Starting this past Sunday they learned that wherever Jesus was there were crowds of people, so many wanted to hear what He had to say. A lady who was sick knew if she could just get to Jesus she would be healed. She carefully made her way through the crowd and touched the hem of His garment and was healed. Jesus asked who touched me? He wanted to meet her because He wanted to be her friend forever! Our lessons are so much fun. For the 10 lepers we all put on sticker dots to pretend we had sores all over us, and we took them off to see how it would be like to be healed like the lepers. For the blind man we turned off the lights to imagine how it would be to not see and we used out other senses to guess things and to describe them. And for the story of the lady who touched Jesus' robe, the teachers wore a long robe while telling the story and the kids got to lean and touch it like the lady. We love leaning about Jesus in Jr. Kidz Alive! The baby's played veterinarians by pretending to care of the stuffed animals we had. A monkey, a hippo, and a bear. After they took care of the animals by feeding them and hugging them we told them that Jesus wants to take care of us too!
